Did you know nonprofits can get up to $10,000 per month of in-kind advertising for search campaigns with Google Ad Grants?
But how do you get the most out of this grant and free ad dollars for your nonprofit?
Most nonprofits have few resources — including people to do the work — and don’t have the time or expertise to take on managing Google Ads.
That’s where we can help. Let us set up and manage Google search campaigns (and more) for your nonprofit.

Maximize Your (Free) Dollars
With any Google Ads campaign, you want to target the right audiences with the right keywords, so you show up in the right search results.
You may be tempted to set up a Google Ad campaign and just let it run — but it takes time to help Google learn.
Use our knowledge from working in Google Ads every day to your advantage.

Measure Your Success
It’s important for any business to be able to measure how successful their advertising is — and nonprofits are no exception.
That’s where Google Analytics comes in.
We connect your nonprofit’s Google Ads to Google Analytics and explain the data so you can see what’s working and what’s not.

Learn for the Future
Education is part of our company’s manifesto, and we value learning too much to not help you learn, too.
You’ll learn how to manage your Google Ads campaigns, and we’ll share insights and data so that you can run your nonprofit to the best it can be.

Frequently Asked Questions about the Google Ad Grant for Nonprofits
The Google Ad Grant is a program that provides eligible nonprofits with $10,000 USD per month in “in-kind” search advertising credit. This allows your organization to show up at the top of Google search results when people look for terms related to your mission, helping you find new donors, volunteers, and supporters.
Yes. Google does not charge your credit card for this spend, and there is no “catch” or requirement to upgrade to a paid account. As long as your nonprofit remains eligible and compliant with Google’s policies, you can continue to use the $10,000 monthly credit indefinitely.
While the grant is free, the compliance rules are strict. Google requires a minimum 5% click-through rate (CTR), high-quality keyword targeting, and monthly account activity. If these aren’t maintained, your grant can be suspended.
9 Clouds handles the technical “heavy lifting”— from the complex application process to daily optimizations — so your team can focus on your mission.
Absolutely. Many of our partners use the Ad Grant for broad awareness (Search) and a paid account for advanced features like:
- Display Ads: Visual banners on other websites. The two accounts work together and do not compete for the same space.
- Remarketing: Showing ads to people who have already visited your site.
- Video Ads: Running campaigns on YouTube.
