Last week Matt and I talked to Lucas Sommer from LeadsRx about the common automotive marketing mistakes we’ve seen, and how to avoid them, on their Attribution Marketing Podcast.
We also provided tips on how to optimize your digital marketing ad spend.
Lucas had to edit out some of our tips for time, so we wanted to share the tips we discussed that didn’t make the cut:
- Value your time because no one else will value it as much as you do. Work with partners and vendors who value your time. The more time you put into hiring the right partner, the less time you’ll spend managing them once they’re hired.
- Make sure you’re focusing on key performance indicators (KPIs). We touch on this briefly in some of our other tips that made the podcast, but we want to reiterate the importance of looking and optimizing based on the right data, not just any data (or the data your vendor tells you you should care about). What data provides you the most insight into what is driving revenue and thus providing return on investment (ROI)? Are you using an objective, third-party marketing attribution tool to show you return on ad spend (ROAS)? We outline key performance automotive digital marketing benchmarks in our annual report.
