Midwest Auto Group Boosts Google Ads Performance with Improved SEO

Optimize your Google Ads through SEO

The Challenge

Midwest-based Walser Automotive Group started with 9 Clouds to help improve its online presence so it could stay ahead of the competition.

Several of Walser’s dealership websites were turnkey sites from a vendor, which meant they lacked personalized search engine optimization (SEO). In order to stand out in relevant searches on Google, Walser needed a more tactical strategy for SEO and search engine marketing (SEM).

The Solution

Our SEO team worked to improve the websites for two stores, Walser Nissan Coon Rapids and Walser Nissan Wayzata, to make them more user-friendly and optimized for search engines. After doing our research, we provided technical and creative updates to:

  • Page titles
  • Meta descriptions
  • Website content
  • Keywords from localized keyword research
  • Navigation
  • And more

Investing time and resources into your website can help your company stand out. A well-(SEO-)oiled website gives you a better opportunity to show up in higher positions on both organic search and paid search.

Once Google sees that your website answers the questions searchers have, Google incentivizes you with better positions on organic search.

In turn, these SEO updates can play a direct role in improving your Google Ads performance. While Google’s overall Ad Rank formula is a secret, it looks at several factors, such as the quality of the ad and corresponding landing page, the context of the person’s search, and more.

While you cannot change how someone searches, you can change the performance of your website and search ads by implementing effective SEO and SEM techniques — and, as always, keeping good user experience in mind.

The Results

Often, when a client starts working with us, their current Google Ads strategy prohibits them from making much growth, as their entire digital presence isn’t well rounded.

Walser’s full-service package helped it achieve specific key performance indicators, such as increased time on site and reduced cost per click (CPC).

Here’s how 9 Clouds was able to decrease CPC by $0.67, increase time on site by 0:58, and increase quality score by 0.3 for both Walser Nissan Coon Rapids and Walser Nissan Wayzata.

1. Walser Nissan Coon Rapids

Before

  • CPC: $1.66
  • Time on Site: 176 seconds
  • Average Quality Score: 7.1

After

  • CPC: $1.49

  • Average Quality Score: 7.3

2. Walser Nissan Wayzata
