Marketing Inspiration and Motivation for a Monday

by on November 19th, 2012

I wanted to pass along some marketing posts that have motivated me lately and I think they tie together pretty nicely. Hopefully you take away a bit of inspiration and/or motivation.

The first is a post from Seth Godin called “The simple power of one a day.” The post features a list of marketing items and Godin encourages you to do one a day. Some are really simple and some take a bit more time but knowing the number of “to dos” on our lists, the post makes constant marketing progress seem more manageable and achievable.

The second is a post from Copyblogger written by Betsy Talbot titled “3 Business Lessons You Can Use from a Globetrotting Entrepreneur.” This post has several great quotes and the one that ties most readily to Godin’s post is the post below which we posted across our social media channels.

Sometimes we can get so caught up in perfection and the review and approval process that we throw efficiency out the door. Take Seth’s “one a day” and start making your marketing molehills into a mountain.

Hi, Sarah. Thanks for the shout out – and I love the fancy quote! (My words are not usually so adorned.) I am a big believer in small daily actions to make big overall change in life and in business. It’s the only way to sustain big change, and it doesn’t take long to see the results.
