Everyone has their token statements and statistics they use to refute or disprove this illusion. Many of you may remember seeing this video, Social Media Revolution. It was posted online in July of 2009 and now has nearly two million views. But by the time Social Media Revolution got its 10,000th view the statistics and facts were already dated.

Yesterday, the team behind Social Media Revolution released their version 2.0 of the video and like the last one, the statistics are fascinating. As I’m writing this blog post the views of this video jumped from 3,432 to over 4,500. This is another great social media viral video that helps answer the question, is social media a fad?
