This week is not only our first Special Movie Edition of Cloud Control, but it must also be a full moon because Paul Meyer is out and joining the Cloud Control.
Nerd Front
Blippr – Blippr is a Mashable app that asks users to rate and review movies in 140 characters or less. The updates are pushed automatically to your Twitter account.
Apple.com Movie Trailers – A lesser known fact about the Apple website is that they offer free high-quality movie trailers for your viewing pleasure. If you’ve got a movie to check up on, check out Apple’s trailers.
- Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day – Same crew, new story.
Kodak Zi8 – It’s Kodak’s answer to the super-portable hand-held cameras out there and it is nice – It’s small and has a pop-out USB connector, comes in multiple colors, and you can record about 10 of HD footage with an expandable 32 GB memory card.
Local Front
A big draw of Social Media is that it gives smaller players the chance to compete with the big boys – is your local theater using social media positively?
Rotten Tomatoes – It’s basically a movie-rating community where you can read, submit, and grade any movie you choose…they’re not big fans of Sandra Bullock apparently.
What’s On Your Mind?
Personal Branding is a valuable weapon in the Internet world and college students should be jumping all over that bandwagon far more than they currently are. Check out Dan Schawbel – Personal Branding Expert for great information about getting yourself known.
Sorry the Cloud Control is late this week, but look at the bright side – only a few more days until you get another chance to catch your favorite Nerd Front, Local Front, and What’s on Your Mind.
